What was your favourite childhood game?

I remember getting pok茅mon ruby on my Game Boy SP in like 2004 and i played the fuck out of that. Me and my brother got ruby and sapphire at the same time and he knew my fave colour was blue so he took sapphire to be a dick, then he realized ruby was the better game and got mad that i had it 馃槇

I think the games I spent the most time on were prob Halo 3 and NFS Most Wanted though.

when i lived in wales, around 2007/8, my console of choice was a ps2, had a bunch of games, ratchet and clank, some random singing game, the dora the explorer 3d platformer was actually pretty good too? and a crazy frog game, but the best game easily for me, was simpsons hit and run on the ps2,

i would spent hours just driving around not doing missions and basically treating it like GTA

but in the second 'level', the last mission (i think it was the last) was to collect like, a bunch of freaking monkeys

8 year old me was not good enough to collect all the monkeys so i never saw any level past this one

but that didn't stop me from playing it a shit ton

the sad story is at a car boot sale, my parents sold my ps2 (i had accidentally put it next to a collection of things my parents were selling), so when i moved to newfoundland, i had to 'rebuild', and became a nintendo DS / Wii enjoyer, before then getting into PC gaming with Portal 1 as why i got steam, a bit of Roblox, but then found Minecraft... so the better answer probably is Minecraft since i played it when was 10/11, but i do view that still as an active game i play, so yeah

yeah

idk if grade 7 counts as childhood but early minecraft def core memory. actually childhood around 4-5yrs old i kept that flame red GBA sp on me, stayed STRAPPED with pokemon ruby and namco museum. played a lot of PS2 as well, NFS Underground 2 and NFS Undercover were big. and halo 1 on my cousins xbox

It's rare I meet someone else who played that, I have so many hours on it as well, similarly half of it was messing around

Mine is Final Fantasy X on the PS2, I'd get lost into the game, like teleported into another world, I haven't been able to do that with games ever since, it has a special place for me
